Restaurant Activations & Promotions¶
Info
This dataset is available for any market and is designed to complement Restaurant Menus and Unified Restaurant Establishments, enabling full-funnel restaurant performance tracking and market visibility.
Dotlas maintains a real-time and historical dataset capturing promotional activations, offers, and brand campaigns across restaurants in global markets. These activations include platform-based discounts, event-driven promotions, limited-time offers, social media contests, and loyalty-focused campaigns.
Every activation is linked to a verified outlet and brand, and is tagged by type, duration, source platform, and promotional strength—enabling clear, structured comparisons between outlets, brands, and neighborhoods.
This dataset is especially useful for:
- Marketing and Brand Teams looking to benchmark promotional intensity, detect activation gaps, and plan offer calendars.
- Pricing Teams experimenting with discount structures (10%, 20%, 30%) and tracking category-level campaign frequency.
- Strategy Teams comparing offer types used by competitors in nearby neighborhoods or by seasonality.
- Performance Analysts studying how promotions affect menu price points, consumer engagement, or outlet sales over time.
Use Cases for Marketing & Strategy Teams¶
- Experiment with discount ranges — Monitor how often 10%, 20%, or 30% discounts are used by your brand or competitors and adjust promotional strategy accordingly.
- Local vs. Global Offer Penetration — Track activations across neighborhoods to assess saturation, identify under-served areas, and plan targeted campaigns.
- Seasonal & Event-Based Trends — Identify spikes in activation during holidays, paydays, or major events and align campaigns with high-response windows.
- Fine-tune offer formats — Compare effectiveness of bundle deals vs. percentage discounts vs. influencer-led promos across locations.
- Benchmark against competitors — Understand how frequently nearby or category-similar restaurants run offers, and adjust intensity to stay competitive.
- Automated alerting & dashboards — Power dynamic dashboards or alerting systems to notify your teams when a competitor runs a high-discount campaign in your area.
